Low Intensity Soccer Warm Up 

Warm up exercise to increase the heart rate and allow the coach to talk to the group during it.

Starting Position

Players form a circle around the coach. Players should be 7 yards away from the coach.

The players jog towards the coach. When they are all 2 yards away the coach claps or shouts, which is the cue for the players to turn and sprint 10 yards. They should get low in the turn and really explode out of it, accelerating as quickly as they can. Once they have covered the 10 yards they return to their starting position and await the coaches’ instruction to jog towards the centre again before performing another sprint.

Continue until the desired number of sprints has been completed.
