One Player in Control
Key Factors for this Football Session
  1. On Front of Feet
  2. Quality of Pass; Weight, Height & Accuracy
  3. Communication
Starting Position

Break the player’s up into small groups (4 or 5 players). One player takes a central position within the group. A ball begins with one of the outside player's.

The central player controls everything that occurs within the group. It is their communication that provides the players around them where to pass it and where to move. No pass is played unless it is dictated by the central player; and the majority of passes should also go through this middle player.

The players on the outside should not remain static but be on the front of their feet and moving around ready to receive a pass.

The quality of the passes should be good enough so that the ball can be passed on or returned first time, if desired. That means the passes should be played to the receivers stronger side with the appropriate weighting.
