Split the players in partners. They stand opposite another partnership 30 yards away. One partnership begins with the ball. |
|||
The ball is played by one of the players to the opposite partnership. The receiving player should get in line with the oncoming ball. Meanwhile their partner should be adopting a supporting position that allows for the ball to be laid off to them in the minimal amount of touches and also so that they can return back to their partner in the most appropriate fashion. Once the 1-2 is completed (ideally with the fewest number of touches as possible) the ball should be stuck back to the other partnership.
Both of the 1-2 passes between the partners should be onto the player’s stronger side, so that they can play it confidently in the fewest number of touches. The quality of each pass should also be focused upon; the passes should be appropriately weighted with the utmost accuracy.
