Players are split into 4 groups, 3 player's in each group. Each group has a ball. |
|||
Split group into four 10 by 10 yard squares. The squares should be about 15 yards apart. The group retain possession of the ball within their area, through short, sharp passing. They continue to pass until the coach shouts ‘Go’. Once that is said the player in possession runs the ball into the square diagonally opposite to theirs. As they enter the square they should pass the ball into one of the players already in there. They then continue to pass the ball around that area until the coach shouts ‘Go’ again. Whichever player is in possession that time then runs the ball back to the diagonally opposite square again.
When running the ball across to the opposite square the players should look to do it as quickly as possible but they should also be aware of other players so that no collisions occur.
All the passes within the squares should be weighted and accurately passed so that the ball can be passed first time.
