Starting Position

Players create a circle. One player starts in the middle of the circle, facing the player with the ball.

X passes it into Y. Y then passes the ball to Z. Once X has passed the ball they follow their pass into the middle, Y follows their pass to the outside. This then means that X receives the next pass off Z and passes it to W. Both players’ then also follow their passes so that X is back on the outside and Z is in the middle. This sequence is then followed. The sequence can be reversed and go in the opposite direction at the coach requests.

When passing the players should ensure the ball is played along the ground, correctly weighted and to the stronger side of the receiving player so that they can play their next pass first time.

If players are capable they can perform the same sequence with the ball in the air, controlling it on their chest or thigh before passing it back.
