Low Protein

Protein is the main component of muscles, organs and glands, and is also required by the body for muscle growth, to fight infection and assist in the process of wound healing. It accounts for approximately 15% of the total mass of an individual. Therefore consuming the correct amount of protein is essential to the health of an individual, especially a player. As players train and compete more the amount of wear and tear their bodies undergo increases, therefore protein is essential to repair itself, without having to use protein already stored in the body.
