Title: The Scientific Name for the Injury

This is an introduction page to explain how the rehabilitation pages within this section are set out and the information they contain.

Quick Diagnosis

This provides you with a quick, visual assessment of the injury. A tick and cross system is implemented to show whether the different elements are present. The symptoms that are analysed include;

  • Pain – General or local, discomfort or agony caused by an injury, wound or bodily damage
  • Swelling – An abnormal enlargement of an area due to a build up of fluids under the skin
  • Stiffness – A reduction in the amount of flexibility or movement within a muscle(s) or joints
  • Full Strength – Is the region up to its usual full strength
  • Fully Stable – Not unsteady and able to operate unsupported
  • Locking – Unintentionally remains in a fixed position

Detailed Analysis

This section provides a more in-depth assessment of the injury and how the player can begin to recover from it. Included within this division are:

  • A detailed explanation of what the injury is and the most common ways it can occur.
  • A detailed, extensive and comprehensive list of the symptoms involved.
  • An outline of a suggested rehabilitation programme.

These programmes are a suggestion and should be implemented and followed in accordance with and under the guidance of a trained professional. Once any rehabilitation programme is commenced (either from this site or from a medical professional) the success of the programme is fully dependant on the attitude, dedication and co-operation of the recovering player.
