Goalkeeping: Warm Up Exercises


These coaching sessions are devised to prepare the goalkeeper for the activity they are about to undertaking, whether that is training or a match.

Catch and Throw on the Move : A throwing exercise to warm up goalkeepers upper bodies, while on the move.

Collect : An exercise to give the goalkeeper the experience of coming to collect the ball

Diagonal Throw : A throwing exercise to warm up the muscles in the upper body.

Low Saves : An exercise to allow goalkeepers a chance to experience saving low shots at goal.

Move and Throw : A throwing exercise to warm up goalkeepers upper bodies and handling while they are active.

Square Shooting : A warm up exercise, that can also be used as a session, to focus on the goalkeepers ability to move, save and recover.

Straight Saves : A warm up to focus on attempts that come straight at the goalkeeper.

View Session

X Shooting : An exercise to place goalkeepers in a shot stopping situation. Can be a warm up or session.
