Fitness sessions do not have to revolve around hundreds and hundreds of short and long ‘doggies’ or shuttle runs. There are so many more exercises that can be implemented to more specifically improve the fitness levels of the players involved.
Ball Orientated coaching sessions are great . Not only do they also work on the player’s technical competences while improving their fitness but the majority of the times when balls are involved the player’s fail to realise how hard they are working. View Sessions
No Ball . Just because ball orientated sessions are great does not make non-ball orientated coaching sessions bad. They can still be implemented to ensure players are worked at the correct intensity. Remind the player’s that for the majority of a match they are going to be ball-less anyway. View Sessions
N.B : All the areas suggested within the sessions can be adapted to be appropriate to the number of players and their ability levels.
