Weight Training: Legs

The legs provide strength and stability for the body. The legs can only manage this due to their muscles and joints. The leg is made up of four main groups of muscles; the quadriceps, hamstrings, gastrocnemius and groins. These muscle groups are then made up of many muscles. Their purpose is to spread the weight of the body and provide power many of the taken-for-granted activities such as walking, running, and jumping. All of which are critical to the performance of a football player. The muscles not only aid in the performance of such activities but they also act as shock absorbers for the rest of the body when they are being performed.
