Self control is simply the player’s ability to remain in control of their actions and emotions in varying circumstances. This is essential to players at any standard because over the course of a match a player can undergo a psychological rollercoaster ride as they can experience all elements of the Delight to Disappointment, Anger to Excitement, Relaxed to Fear and Guilt to Pride continuums. Therefore it is essential that players are able to maintain a balanced persona so that they do not allow their emotions to dictate their actions, as the moment their concentration is gone they are then no longer contributing to their team in their most productive way.
