When in Possession
Style of Play: Passing along the floor, never looked to knock it long.
Player Involvement and Confidence: RB did not go forward. Whole midfield comfortable on the ball, especially the right midfielder.
Creative or Dangerous Players: CM (4) had a good trick and looked to link defence and attack. RW very quick, and caused problems all game.
Tendencies: Very rarely looked left, just kept feeding the right.
Success: Did gain a lot crosses and attempts from the right. CM had a few long range efforts as well.
Ideas to Cope: Stop service right, force play left. If in possession, get tight and cover asap.
When Defending
Organisation: Each player understands their roles and got into position very quickly on losing the ball.
Concentration: CB (6) was prone to allowing concentration slip and ball watched when not actively involved for longer periods.
Aerial Ability: Both CB's strong, FB's are weaker, especially LB.
Tackling: CM (4) the strongest tackler. LM 'bottled' a few challenges.
Pace: RB slowest player at the back, was helped out a lot by speed of RW.
Tendencies: Lacked communication in midfield which meant runners from the outside to in were not passed on and tracked.
Areas to exploit and how: Area behind RB, as slow & GK stays on their line. Space vacated by LW when they have pushed up - as slow getting back. Break infield from wide in the midfield.
Goalkeeper
Size & Build: Average and Heavy Aerial Ability: Poor
Shot Stopping: Good, especially left side.
Communication: Very good. Best attribute. Command of Area: Poor
Starting Position: Back, worried about speed and height. Decision Making: Good
Kicking: Very good, hands and floor. Fav. Distribution: Never threw ball.
SET - PLAYS (Attacking)
Attitude: Shot at goal whenever in range.
Area of Delivery: Any delivery was always aimed towards the back post.
Target/s: Two CB's come up and both attack the back post.
Clever / Unexpected Movements: CF drops out of area (corners) pulling the CB that was marking them out as well.
Set-Plays (Defending)
Set Up: Man Marking
Concentration: Take time to find their players on the first corner and free kick. Some were still struggling to find the correct player's on the next corner.
Number in Wall and on Posts: 4 in wall whenever within range. No player on either post.
Exploitable Areas: A quick corner may catch them unprepared and result in a free header.
