Parent's Codes of Conduct

  • Please make every effort to ensure your child arrives early for games and training with correct kit for the weather conditions. If there are injury or illness (medical) concerns please notify the coach as soon as possible once you are aware of them, failure to do so may put your child at risk. These will be kept confidential and on a need to know basis. Training is important to ensure individual players progress, if your child cannot attend training please let the organiser of the session know as soon as you can.
  • The boys/ girls are here to play football and enjoy the games, once the enjoyment goes out of football they will not want to play. The coach and parents will make every effort to see that the fun stays in the game.
  • As parents you are expected to support your team as well as acknowledging the oppositions good play and effort. Abuse of any kind towards our players, the opposition or the match officials will not be tolerated at this club. Many Leagues are marking each team every week for sporting behaviour. Positive sporting attitudes are expected from all parents at all times. Parents of players are responsible for the actions of relatives or friends that come to watch the teams playing. Any Racist, sexist, homophobic or any other threatening or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated either by or towards players, parents, spectators or officials. Action will be taken if this occurs.
  • There is ONE coach/ manager in charge who directs play, picks teams and rotates substitutes. If you believe you can do a better job and commit the time for training and for our games then stand for the position at the next AGM, otherwise please respect the judgement of the coach/ manager.
  • When transporting children to and from games please be aware of our ‘Safety for All’ rules. Never travel alone in a car with a child (that is not your own) unless absolutely necessary, always try to ensure you have either another adult or another child in the car and that the children travel in the back of the car. Always contact parents or carers to inform them of you actions and your estimated travelling times.
  • Volunteers for running the line will always be appreciated as would support for any Fundraising / sponsorship to raise money for kits etc.
  • Please ring your coach if you feel the game may be called off due to inclement weather.
